URL Teams

The URL Teams page provides a listing of all users that have accounts in the URL and their URL-level permissions.

A user may have a role in a Project without having any URL-level permissions. New users will not have any URL level permissions enabled by default.

URL permissions control whether a user may:

Permission

Description

Manager

The "Manager" permission is a super-user permission which grants all permissions and the ability to:

  • Change URL level permissions for other users

  • View and modify all Projects in the URL. This overrides any Project Roles assigned to the user.

  • Modify the Project Role definitions

  • Remove users from the URL and Organization

  • Inactivate user accounts

Typically, one or more users will be granted Manager permissions on the creation of the URL. These users can then set the URL-level permissions of the other users in the URL.

User

The "Users" permission grants a user the ability to:

  • See all Projects in the URL regardless of who owns the Project or the Project View-All settings

  • Invite or remove users from Project teams within the URL.

Users with 'User' permission may view all Projects in the URL but do not automatically have permissions to modify Project data; they need a Project Role to make changes within a Project.

Editing Permissions

The team list is shown as a spreadsheet-style grid. The User column is frozen on the left so it stays visible while the permission columns scroll. The User column can be sorted and filtered; each permission column has a true/false filter (open the column header menu to filter on granted vs. ungranted users).

Toggling a permission cell does not save immediately. Edits accumulate locally and the toolbar at the top right tracks them:

  • Clear Filters — removes any column filters that are currently applied.

  • Undo / Redo — step back or forward through your unsaved edits. The badge shows how many steps are available.

  • Save — sends all pending changes to the server in one request. The badge shows how many cells have changed since the last save. The button is disabled when there are no pending changes. If saving fails (for example, a change that would leave no Manager for the URL), every change in that batch is rolled back so the grid returns to the last saved state.

Bulk edits work via standard spreadsheet gestures: select a rectangle of cells, copy/paste TRUE or FALSE across them, or drag the fill handle. All changes apply locally first and are sent together when you click Save.

Project Role Assignments

Clicking on a user's name opens a side panel listing every Project in the URL where that user has a Project Role or is the Project Owner. Users with URL-level Manager or User permission can remove a user from a Project by clicking the delete button next to that role. Press Escape or click the × in the panel header to close the panel.
